2 Timothy 1:7 | Bible Art Journaling 101

This is one of my memory verses and it is one that took me a long time to layout.
This is the only one I colored using Stampin' Up! ink and a sponge. I like the look of it. I used soft colors that I knew would mix well (yellow and blue make green).

Our Bible Art Journaling Class went well yesterday.
I am posting the same handout here that my local ladies got.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have once you have read through the handout.
The pages with photos (pages 2 & 3) are meant to print out in color. The remaining pages are black & white.

  2. What bible are you using that has a 2in margin? I can't find anything that large that has a larger font.

    1. LeighM, I use the Crossway (2 column) Journaling Bible ESV Black hardback edition. It has been hard to get in the last few months but it should be available now. I will do a blog post with what it looks like. It is the least expensive of the Journaling Bibles, it is a portable size, and durable. The margin from text to edge is a smidge over 2" so I am able to create most of my verses in a 2" x 6 1/2" area. Hope this helps! -Joanie

  3. Where are you located? I am trying to figure out where your "local" class is, but can't seem to find the info anywhere. Thanks! Janet

    2. Do you know of or use a medium that can be put over our pencil art to keep it from smudging? Ilove your work and your helps. Thank you so much. Sandi Brewer casandrella@outlook.com

  4. Sandi, this particular verse is done on ink and colored by sponging on ink. I often color my verses with colored pencils but have done had an issue with smearing. I have been thinking about using pastels-which would smear a lot so I would spray it with fixative. I haven't tried it out yet, but will definitely post on here when I do. Hope this helps. -Joanie
